Responsibilities
- Write clean, well-tested & secure code, exhibit ownership from requirements to development
- Deeply understand existing architecture on the back end as well as the front-end side to be able to enhance and improve architecture going forward with a key focus on scalability and quality
- Apply patches/upgrades from vendors, create Monitoring/Alerting as needed
- Provide expertise and best practices for implementing cloud security (internal) and product security (external) and knowledge of one or more SSO methodologies (SAML, LDAP, MS AD)
- Sharp focus on gaining an in-depth understanding of the requirements around user experience to be able to deliver high quality, cross-platform optimized and responsive web front-end experience
- Strong focus on creating and maintaining project documents and artifacts to capture current state
Qualifications
- Development experience of Atlassian systems (Jira & Confluence Cloud)
- Experience in the design, build, customization and roll out of advanced Jira workflows and schemes
- Hands on experience in installing and configuring tools – IBM Urban code udeploy and agents, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube on AWS via Terraform/ Ansible for Enterprise.
- Hands on experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines by using UNIX/Linux/Windows, Java, Dot Net, Angular, Git, Ant, Maven, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory on premises/AWS.
- Strong in writing Groovy scripts and automation, experience in developing in Python, bash, YAML, Jenkins templates.
- Proficiency with web application development using Java, REST-ful APIs creation using Spring Boot or Node
- Proficiency with server-side languages such as C#, Java, Python, Ruby, and PHP
- Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React, React with Redux
- Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB
- Experience with relevant code repository and project tools such as Team Foundation Server, Git, JIRA
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science or another related technical field but not required
- Candidates who have completed full stack development/coding bootcamps or equivalent industry recognized certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or Solutions architect) will also be considered in lieu of a technical undergraduate degree
- Ability to integrate APIs, write unit test cases, perform Unit Testing (UT) and System Integration testing (SIT)
- Working experience with or understanding of Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment
- Understanding of existing and emerging web standards such as HTML5 and Mobile
- Demonstrated ability with Application Architecture, best practices and systems engineering industry trends
- Solid understanding of Agile application development methodologies and release management activities
