We are seeking a Sr DevOps Operations and Automation Engineer to support DTCC Enterprise DevSecOps products and services. The candidate will be responsible for the support of all products and services offered to internal IT from EDSO. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and driven to consistently deliver outstanding customer support and will have demonstrated experience with troubleshooting production problems as well as coordinating efforts across multiple teams within IT and the business organization. Candidate will focus on driving innovation, adopting the latest tools and techniques in DevSecOps and system administration & engineering to ensure it meets the needs of our customers.
The DevOps Operations and Automation Engineer at DTCC will be responsible for improving the feedback loop of the SDLC through precise communication with internal stakeholders, product and Business Aligned Delivery teams. They will work closely with App Developers, Release Engineers and Infrastructure Engineering (Cloud/On-Prem) teams to proactively and reactively troubleshoot issues in the various environments and solve problems quickly. Lead incident and problem management collaborating with various teams to ensure customer issues are resolve timely and efficiently
Support industry standard DevSecOps tools and leverage, develop, deploy, and support CI/CD solutions
Develop and contribute to knowledge base, create clear technical articles, process, and procedure documentation
Design and create scalable, automated solutions to service our customers and internal App development teams
Support in building, maintaining, and monitoring reliable infrastructure, security, and DevOps pipelines
Analyze issues/failures in products and services and identify common themes, root cause and remediation actions that will strengthen the stability and reliability of the product
Interface with the development team to enhance and support software features through agile continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment (CI/CD) processes
Proactively examine applications and implement proactive monitoring and redundancy at all tiers to help reduce unplanned outage time
Work with respective SMEs on maintaining health, monitoring, alerting and reporting tools (CloudWatch, etc.)
Contribute to technical process improvements across a variety of disciplines such as training, Agile, and modern development practices
Identify and writing custom DevOps tools for automation or process improvements
Strong experience working on CI/CD pipeline and supporting DevOps tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Nexus, Fortify, Chef, Ansible, Jira, Terraform, etc.)
Strong Scripting/programming experience using one of the following python, java, groovy, shell, etc.
Working experience with database technologies such as RDBMS-SQL, JIRA-JQL, Liquibase, etc.
Understanding of Docker, Bitbucket, Python, Bash, GitHub, Jenkins and JIRA
Experience with application instrumentation and monitoring
Working knowledge with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD) processes and automation
Understanding of Linux system internals and administration
Experience with container technologies and orchestration layers (Docker, ECS, ECR, etc.)
Basic understanding of data center architectures (servers, networking, storage, physical hardware, virtualization, etc.)
Exposure to automated unit, function, load and behavior testing is a plus
Experience supporting systems from an infrastructure, code, database, and security concept perspective.
Understanding of relational databases query structures
AWS Cloud services such as compute, databases, networking and security
Some experience with AWS preferred, baseline knowledge of ECS & EC2
Linux and Windows OS administration
Excellent team work, people skills, verbal and written communication skills
Responsible for Shakeouts and Production releases
Be part of On-Call (Team Rotation + rotation base on onsite and offshore schedule) schedule to provide 24X7 support
